Haha. Another 2 semesters are over before I realized I haven’t been posting here for a while. Well alot of things happened…
I had to move… again… >.< But at least I did work as an intern for a photographer for a while and (hopefully) improved my skills.
Also college keept me busy and will for a while longer, because the finals are getting closer.
Anyways I hope I'll find time again to keep blogging.
Easy Paint Tool SAI

Since I got my graphic tablet I have been searching for another art program besides Photoshop. Many recommended Paint Tool SAI. So I downloaded the trial version and I really like it. But it works with totally different hotkeys than PS. And I am soooo used to those hotkeys, I was pressing “E” for eraser and the whole other stuff, but nothing happened or just something else happened. >.< lol
But I try to remember the hotkeys….
Anyways, SAI is awesome for drawing, you have different layers and stuff and what I like mostly: you can spin the canvas as you wish! Awesome for me, because I am used to turn around the sheet of paper in all directions.
So for now I’m reading tons of tutorials for SAI and already worked with it to create the backgrounds for some wallpapers. That leads me to introduce you my new Yachiru wallpaper:
Wacom Bamboo Pen&Touch

This is my new graphic tablet and my first one. The touch gestures remind me of the MacBookPro. It’s really easy and fun to work with and you get used to it very fast so you can use those gestures without thinking what you’re doing.
Drawing with it is fun, too. But you really need your time to get used to it. It makes your pictures look better, because you have now endless possibilities to color your image. It doesn’t make you a better drawer, though.
I hope to get used to it soon and improve my skills.
But I don’t regret buying it!
Full HD 3D, Wacom, Canon and freaking big printers

I visited the photokina 2010 on sunday. I was busy walking and talking all day, that in the end I thought my feet were gonna kill me. But! It was definetly awesome. I was able to try out the new lenses of Tamron and Sigma and the hughe new fish-eyes of Canon. Most Camera and Camera Equipment Producers had a little “studio” where you could try out their new stuff or just take awesome pictures. If you had the time to take pictures with your own camera, though.
Wacom was there, too. They had the Cintiq, Intuos and Bamboo Products with them so you could try all out and ask a bunch of questions. In the end I got a fancy “Wacom”-Keyholder thing, which has a plastic, rubber circle which is supposed to hold the pen.
The new 152inch (!!) plasma, full hd, 3d tv of panasonic was awesome!! I doubt 3d will gat access to everyones livingrooms, honestly who wants to watch tv with stupid glasses on their head? But trying that out was cool. And it might gives you an idea on how much more awesome 3d movies in the movie theater are gonna be.
I also met Spiderman xD. There was a guy in a Spiderman costume for photoshoots with intrested people so HP could print the pictures to show you, just how good their printers are. And guess what… Spiderman had nothing to do. The little kids were to scared, the guys to “I’m no child anymore” and women… you know, we just dun like pictures of ourself. Anyways… that guy saw me staring at him and grabbed my arm, pulled me up in front of the camera and well… I can say I have a Spiderman photo now!
While I was there waiting for my pictures to be printed (hey i took everything I could get for free) there was a freakin hugh printer. It printed some floralpattern. For 15min… in the end the poster was 2m x 10m !! But really sharp.
So in the end. AWESOME.
And I bought myself a Wacom Bamboo Pen&Touch… just need to get used to it now.
